Rush University Medical Center invites you to join an internationally-recognized faculty of “shark hunters” as they discuss retinal mishaps in the office and the operating room – “RETINAWS: Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the vitreous.”

Retina specialists often work in a “shark-infested” world. Unexpected events are a fact of life. Learning how “not to get bit” is an effective way to practice safely and efficiently.

The course will be held August 10-12 (schedule) at the Westin Chicago River North Hotel, steps from Chicago’s Magnificent Mile. There will be an evening reception Friday, August 10. The exhilarating excitement of Chicago is at your doorstep. Bring your family and enjoy the weekend in Chicago.

The goal of the faculty is to share their experience in how to evaluate, predict and treat unexpected outcomes. The expert panel will discuss the presented cases. Our audience will have the opportunity to participate in the discussion. The meeting will be simultaneously broadcast in four languages (English, German, Italian, Spanish) and Webcast live for online viewers around the world. You will also be able to meet and exchange ideas with the current vitreoretinal fellows from around the country.
